Grown from the Fairview, Cellar and Jimpy barley varieties in the Canterbury, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu and Rangitikei regions, this is a fully New Zealand-sourced Pale malt. Highly suited as the primary base malt in mid-to-heavy beers requiring a subtle toasted malt character in the background. The moderately high diastatic power also lends this malt to conversion of moderate inclusions of specialty grain, allowing the production of any type of beer from Pale Ale through to the heaviest stout.
