• Amarillo (USA) 1kg

Amarillo is typically considered to be an aroma variety, though with moderately high alpha acids and low cohumulone, it is also an excellent bittering hop and thus an ideal all-rounder. It is certainly one of the more competent varieties to make a single-hop beer out of. Amarillo is in the top 10 hop varieties used in the craft-brewing industry and understandably popular amongst home-brewers as well. Unlike most big US hops, Amarillo has a fairly high proportion of farnesene in the aromatic oils profile. Farnesene is generally associated with certain floral and citrus notes.

Aroma notes: Grapefruit, orange, lemon, melon, floral, apricot, peach.
