Though considered a competent dual-purpose hop, Azacca is primarily sought after for late and dry-hop additions for its richly aromatic tropical fruit and citrus tones. It's often referenced as having a spicy fruitiness. Particular tropical notes mentioned are most commonly ripe mango, papaya and pineapple. For the citrus notes, tangerine, orange, grapefruit and lemon are all cited. Lesser aromas present include some pine/resin and slight grassiness.
